De-Stressing with Movement & Craniosacral Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
with Deborah Brown
Movement Matters

with Tali Rose

Craniosacral therapy is a form of body work that uses a light touch to listen to the body's subtle rhythms, tissue patterns and stories. Life experiences, whether physical, traumatic or emotional, are stored in the body which compensates to best hold and contain what has happened. Over time, we experience symptoms and pain - and often stress! Craniosacral therapy engages the wisdom we each hold within ourselves, and empowers the client's system to realign to natural balance and health. As one of Deborah's clients recently described it, "It's like being earthed". It is an excellent therapy for stress and anxiety as it enables the nervous system re-set and settle, providing a foundation for good health and vitality. Deborah Brown is passionate about her field of work and has been practicing in Brighton and Hove for over 6 years. The session will discuss how Craniosacral Therapy supports the client in managing and overcoming stress. Short self awareness exercises will give us insight into the internal landscape of our bodies and the world of sensation, and you will take away some simple tools for your stress management tool-kit simply by becoming aware of your body!

Movement Matters qualified facilitator Tali Rose believes that the body carries wisdom and has the potential to affect the mind as well as the other way around. She will be demonstrating through her body and inviting you to participate in this gentle guided movement practice so that you can experience everyday movements such as walking, sitting and standing with awareness. She holds the belief that we are always on the social stage of life and therefore always performers and audience, at the same time. By becoming aware of how we move in our everyday lives we can highlight our choices and move into our full potential of being, cultivating the attitude of being delighted with who we are, can be and what we have to offer in this world. This guided movement practice encourages you to move in all your variations, thus practising flexibility and freedom in your body as well as freeing up your mind and fixed beliefs. It is a practice you can take into your daily life rather than leaving it behind in the studio.
